EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has teased a “shocking” return during the show’s dramatic 40th anniversary week and the upcoming deadly disaster in The Vic.
Later this month, the BBC soap is celebrating four decades on TV with a huge week of episodes culminating in a completely live instalment on Thursday, February 20.
It was reported back in December that an explosion will tear through the famous pub in the episodes, putting the lives of many Walford residents at risk.
Now, advanced spoilers released by the BBC have provided some brief details of what viewers can expect during this iconic week of episodes, which all take place over a single day.
As Billy and Honey prepare to get married, there are struggles for other characters. Phil makes a “heartbreaking decision” amid his declining mental health and Cindy continues to search for her attacker.
Later in the exciting week, there’s what’s described as a “shocking return” that has big consequences, shortly before a “tragic disaster” hits Albert Square.
There are set to be high stakes in the already risky live episode, as the community fight to save their friends and neighbours from The Vic in the wake of these dramatic events.
Elsewhere, Denise faces a huge decision. That decision will be put in the hands of the public, as viewers will get to choose whether she pursues a relationship with Ravi or gets back together with Jack ahead of the live episode.
