Final Destination 6 drops eerie first trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures has dropped the first trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines, showcasing just one of many inventive deaths to come.

Sharing the new trailer to X, Warner Bros. wrote: “If you screw with Death’s plans, things can get very… messy. Final Destination Bloodlines – only in theaters and @imax May 16.”

In the trailer, a tattoo artist named Erik, who is grieving his father, complains to a client who is getting her tongue pierced that he has to lock up the shop.

“My old man just died. I come in as a favour and now they want me to lock up,” he tells the girl as he puts a hole through her tongue.

Per the trailer and in classic Final Destination style, the tension begins to mount as the tattooist’s death is foreshadowed in a number of ways.

Erik’s septum piercing eventually turns out to be his downfall when a chain falls from the ceiling and connects with his nose ring. After the chain becomes entangled in the ceiling fan, he accidentally starts a fire and is pulled up by his nose.

Attempting to rescue himself, he stands on a glass counter, which shatters, and he falls into the fire, where he presumably meets his grizzly end – all while his sad playlist plays.

Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, Final Destination: Bloodlines is set for release on May 16, 2025, in the US.

Written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, the sixth instalment in the franchise stars Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Max Lloyd-Jones and Rya Kihlstedt.

Reportedly joining them on the cast is the late Tony Todd, who starred in three of the previous movies. Todd is said to be reprising his role as mortician William Bludworth for the upcoming movie.

Final Destination: Bloodlines will be released on May 16, 2025.
