Celebrity Bear Hunt major spoilers follow.
Viewers have shared praise for new Netflix series Celebrity Bear Hunt as it tops the charts.
The reality show, which is hosted by Holly Willoughby, sees a group of celebrities put into the Central American jungle as they’re chased down by Bear Grylls.
Among those taking part are Spice Girls’ Mel B, Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas, The Inbetweeners‘ Joe Thomas and Ted Lasso‘s Kola Bokinni.
Since its release this week, Celebrity Bear Hunt has shot to number one in the UK TV Top 10 Netflix chart, while fans have shared their thoughts.
Replying to an Instagram clip of Mel B struggling in a boat over crocodile-filled water, before being caught by Bear, one wrote: “I can’t stop watching this! Brilliant x.”
“Great episode. And you got out of the beat pit,” another added, while a third enthused: “Mel B I Love You thank you Netflix.”
A fourth suggested: “I want to see a show [sic] with all the spice girls in a jungle,” as a fifth said: “Anything with Mel B in it?…. I’m watching.”
The other stars taking part are The Saturdays’ Una Healy, rapper and chef Big Zuu, former tennis champion Boris Becker, model Leomie Anderson, ex-rugby player Danny Cipriani, TV presenter Steph McGovern, interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and model Lottie Moss.
The series was first announced last year, the synopsis reading: “Bear believes there’s an action hero inside us all – even the celebs – but how strong is their will to survive?
“As Bear puts them through their paces, those who fail to impress will face the dreaded ‘Bear Hunt’ – a brutal game of cat and mouse where they’ll be hunted down by Bear himself and, if captured, face elimination from the show.”
Celebrity Bear Hunt is streaming now on Netflix.
